Fruit importer Fortuna Frutos Growing produce

Crops

From seed to harvest our technical teams manage the development and quality of our crops, most of which are grown in hydroponics with localised drip irrigation. The maximum use of biological controls to keep our plants healthy and pests and disease at bay is of utmost importance as we implement integrated crop management systems in all our farms.

Certification

AENOR, the Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification certify all our products, which are accepted by Eurep Gap.
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) has also qualified our tomato packhouses.

Innovation

Research and development of new varieties is vitally important. As the climate changes globally we are continuously challenged to find pest and disease resistant varieties with the capacity to produce a high yield without compromising quality or flavour. Throughout the year our technical team conduct trials in close collaboration with leading seed specialists.
